“Beyond the End of the World” Sawyer Seminar Opens Call for Postdoctoral Fellow

As part of the “Beyond the End of the World,” a year-long Andrew W. Mellon Foundation John E. Sawyer Seminar on the Comparative Study of Cultures, The Center for Creative Ecologies has opened a call for a Postdoctoral Fellow. Under the direction of Project Director, T.J. Demos, the postdoc will help launch an exciting series of events investigating world-ending narratives and what comes after and amplify the reach of the seminar’s goals by engaging with scholars, teachers, and other researchers around the study of speculative imagination in contemporary art and film.

The position is funded for one academic year (September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2020). Scholars in any discipline or field in the arts and humanities who study cultural and artistic expressions of futurity in the Americas (North, Central, and/or South) during the contemporary period, in ways that will connect to and enhance this research project.
