About the Living Writers Series
The Living Writers Series (LWS) is a live reading series organized especially for the Creative Writing Program community at UCSC. There is a new series each quarter, and each series features writers with unique voices. The LWS is open to all creative writing students and the public.

About the writer
Andrea CohenAndrea Cohen is the author of eight poetry collections; her latest is The Sorrow Apartments (2024). You can also find her writing in The New Yorker, Poetry, The Threepenny Review, and The New York Review of Books, etc. Her awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship and residencies at MacDowell. Over the years, she has taught at The University of Iowa, Emerson College, UMASS-Boston, The Fine Arts Work Center, and Merrimack College; starting this spring, she will teach at Boston University. She also directs the Blacksmith House Poetry Series. Her hometown is Atlanta, Georgia.
