Led by Maestra Fe Silva-Robles of Senderos, Clases is a monthly opportunity to learn Santiago Laxopa Zapotec in an interactive classroom setting. All oral instruction is in Spanish only; written materials are in Spanish and English. Maestra Fe and the Nido de Lenguas team collaborate extensively to produce a cohesive set of lessons. Each lesson is designed to introduce new sounds, vocabulary, and grammar, building on previous lessons. Students increase their language skills through a variety of group exercises. There is also homework, so students can keep their Zapotec skills sharp between classes.
