Saturday Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Saturday Shakespeare in Santa Cruz Presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream, featuring a series of readings and conversations held Saturday mornings from April 26 to May 24, 2025. The 1st hour will be spent in conversation with a guest speaker, and during the 2nd hour volunteers will read aloud part of the play. During the final session, on May 24th, a film will be presented. Meetings will take place in the Aptos Library Community Room (in person) and over Zoom (virtual).

The guest speaker on May 3 is Julia Lupton, Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at UC Irvine, dramaturg for UCI’s New Swan Summer Festival. Readings: Act 2, Scenes 1 & 2; Act 3, Scene 1
