Humanities community mourns the passing of poet and artist Jory Post

Along with our broader community, The Humanities Institute mourns the passing of Jory Post, whose life and work continues to leave an unmistakable imprint on us. Post was an integral part of the Morton Marcus Poetry Reading team, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his friends and loved ones.

The organizers of the Morton Marcus Poetry Reading series are heartbroken at the loss of our colleague, Jory Post. Jory was a student of Mort’s and has been a part of our team for more than seven years. He contributed to our committee through the development and management of the national Morton Marcus Poetry Contest, and arranging for contest winners to read their winning poem at our event each year. Our hearts go out to Jory’s wife Karen, and all of his family. Jory will always be considered a member of our team!

In true admiration and respect,

The Morton Marcus Poetry Committee
