UCIRA + UCHRI 2009-2010 Courses

UCIRAThe University of California Institute for Research in the Arts (UCIRA) and the University of California Humanities Research Institute (UCHRI) announce a new series of courses open to students from throughout UC system.

Fall 2009

Mapping California’s Deserts (2 units) with Dick Hebdige. This is an intensive, low-residency course including participation in a dry-immersion roving symposium scheduled for October 22-25, 2009 in and around Joshua Tree.

Winter 2010

Social Technologies: New Models of Value Exchange (2 units) with Kim Yasuda and Marko Peljhan. This is an intensive, low-residency course with at least one meeting taking place over 3-4 days at UC Santa Barbara.

Spring 2010

Social Ecologies: California-Centric Embedded Arts Research (2 units) with Kim Yasuda and members of the Los Angeles Urban Rangers. This is an intensive, low-residency course with at least one meeting taking place over 3-4 days in Los Angeles.
