PhD+ Workshop – CART Archives Reading Group
May 13 @ 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm | McHenry Library (3rd Floor), Special Collections
Join the Center for Archival Research and Training (CART) and the Humanities Institute (THI) for the inaugural meeting of the CART Archives Reading Group! We will be discussing the 2021 essay “The House Archives Built” by Dorothy Berry. You’ll be introduced to some basic concepts of archival theory and practice, and be invited to think big about what archives are, and what they could be.
Artists, history buffs, photographers, grad students / post docs / faculty / undergrads … all are welcome to join!
Registration is required.
Please read The House Archives Built before we meet in person – you can download the essay from the up//root zines website.
This event is co-sponsored by The Humanities Institute as part of the PhD+ Workshop Series. Learn more about the Center for Archival Research and Training on the CART website.
